Local Planning Committee Meeting #2 – Presentation Slides – These slides were presented at Local Planning Committee Meeting #2, which was held on Jun 10, 2025. This presentation provides an update on the engagement completed to date, highlights from the Downtown Profile & Assessment which is a study currently being undertaken by the project team, identification of a draft vision and goals for downtown Canandaigua, as well as evaluation criteria for proposed projects.

Local Planning Committee Meeting #1 – Presentation Slides –   These slides were presented at Local Planning Committee Meeting #1, which was held on May 6, 2025. This presentation provides an overview of the DRI program and process, describes the engagement that will occur over the course of the project, and outlines the pros and cons of different match requirements as the basis of LPC discussion. Public Workshop #1 – Presentation Slides – These slides were presented at the first public workshop, held on May 21, 2025. The presentation provides an overview of the DRI, including the program’s overarching goals, process, and timeline, and an overview of eligible project types and project requirements.

Public Workshop #2 – Engagement Panels – These panels were on display at the first public workshop, held on May 21, 2025. They provide an overview of the DRI, and opportunities for the public to provide input on downtown’s strengths and challenges – what works well and should be protected? What isn’t working so well and should be improved?

Open Call for Projects Information Session – Presentation – This presentation provides: an overview of the DRI program, goals, and process; eligible projects types, project requirements, and project evaluation; a description of how to prepare and submit your application; and the process of project development that is required once an application is submitted.

Project Application Form – Please use this form to submit a project for DRI funding consideration. The application is due July 11, 2025 at 5:00pm.

Small Project Grant Fund Application Form – The City of Canandaigua intends to request DRI funding for a Small Project Grant Fund, which will by administered by the City to fund smaller projects including building upgrades, facade improvements, public art, and permanent business equipment. By filling out this form, you can help demonstrate potential demand for the Small Project Grant Fund. Please note: This form is not an application for funding. If the City is awarded DRI funding for the Small Project Grant Fund, the City would then launch a separate application process.
